Greetings and welcome to today's random thought.
I think I am getting used the slowness of dial up internet. It is all a matter of managing my expectations. Being in a different state of mind I suppose. At any rate, I mind the waiting less now than when the "new" wore off initially. The Buick's driver side window is stuck down now so I have the car in my attached garage. We have not had a car in either garage since we moved in so (oddly enough) the car looks out of place in a garage. I rarely had it in the garage in our garage in Texas either now come to think of it. It seems that my model of car is prone to window motors failing (this will be the 3rd replacement one now I think, 1 passenger side and now 2 driver's side). This should set me back $300 - $400 so I am bracing for that impact on the savings account.
Only one person noticed that I was not wearing glasses yesterday at church. I went out of my way to greet people (and allow them to notice) but only the husband of the daughter's eye doctor noticed (and he thought I had gotten contacts). Other than my cubemate at work, no one had noticed there either. Maybe my glasses didn't change my looks at much as I thought they had. All is going well and I am faithfully putting drops in my eyes as the instructions say to do. I have a follow up visit on Thursday. My left eye is dry sometimes but other than that, they feel fine. I have to tape these plastic shields over each eye each night (for one more night) and the tape is very sticky and so my face tends to have sticky spots on it perpetually. That is the only thing I am looking forward to stopping doing. I did have to wear eye protection yesterday while mowing the front yard. That is something that I have not had to do in a long, long time.
I only have 28 days until I turn 40 so I am in the home stretch. I will give my normal update tomorrow on my weight but I almost hit the 25 lb milestone today. More details tomorrow (when hopefully I do hit it). Well, it is time to get the kids up as they are driving me to work today since the Buick is out of commision.
Thanks for reading my Random Thoughts.
Jon
