Blog Number 372

Greetings and welcome to today's random thought.

We had a blast yesterday at a get together for some "like minded" home schooling families.  I was not really that pumped to go but we did have a great time.  The weather did not look to be in our favor in the morning but the afternoon was beautiful.  Unfortunately this limits the choice of food and the high sodium hot dog did me in and I was up 2/3 lbs this AM.  I have always heard the last 10 lbs on any diet is the hardest and I am in that last 10 lb period and struggling (only down 1 lb since last Sunday morning's weigh in).  So be it.

Last weekend the wife and I hit the Half Priced Book Store and I was able to peruse the clearance CD rack (one of my favorite things to do).  We went about a month ago as well and I have hit my favorite pawn shop for some CDs in that time frame as well.  Here is what I have picked up (all for $1 each).
  • First Trip to Half Priced Books
    • MxPx - Ten Year's And Running
    • C+C Music Factory - Gonna Make You Sweat (the kids love the Everybody Dance Now song)
    • Jon Anderson - The More You Know
  • Pawn Shop Trip
    • Depeche Mode - Songs Of Faith And Devotion
    • The Alarm - Raw
    • The Alarm - Change
    • Enigma - The Screen Behind The Mirror
    • Stone Temple Pilots - Core
    • Crash Test Dummies - God Shuffled His Feet
    • Deep Forest - Comparsa
    • Alien Youth - Alien Youth
  • Second Trip to Half Priced Books
    • Harry Connick Jr - Oh My Nola
    • Harry Connick Jr - Blue Light, Red Light
    • Matchbox Twenty - Yourself or Someone Like You
    • By The Tree - Root
    • Eli - Things I Prayed For
    • August Burns Red - Looks Fragile After All
    • Circle Of Dust - Disengage
    • Reba McEntire - Reba
The actual price of the CDs purchased at Half Priced Books is only $0.90 since the wife has a 10% teacher's discount card (home school teachers qualify).  I think I might have to make it a policy to limit my max price for a CD to $1.  I got 19 CDs for less than the price of 2 new ones and other than the MxPx and August Burns Red, each of them have had multiple listen to's since I purchased them (I especially like By The Tree).

Well we did not get home until around 9:45 last night and did not get settled and into bed until about 10:30.  This pushed some normal "night" showers into morning showers and with sleeping in a little, we are running behind this AM.

Thanks for reading my Random Thoughts.

Jon
