So we have some new wall art. Below is me posing with my birthday present from my son and to the right is the newly framed autographed 8x10 photo of Stellar Kart along with our tickets. We spent more on the frame than the photo (though the tickets did cost us more not to mention the gas, hotel room and food). I am not sure how long the wife will allow this "art" to remain in its current position.
The son and I arrived home around 2:30 today. There is not really a direct route available from Decatur to Kokomo so once we hit Indiana, we meandored around from state highway to state highway that went through little towns with populations below 1,000 (the exact population was usually posted at the edge of town near the city limits sign). We got a dip in the pool before we left and hit a Bob Evan's for a late breakfast somewhere in Illinois. He is already talking about his NEXT concert. He was googling all my favorite bands to see if any of them were in concert anytime soon and anywhere close (though I think he prefers the concert be far enough away to justify a hotel stay).
I have not decided if I will weigh myself tomorrow or not. Part of me says no since I was just on vacation and I did break my streak of 133 straight days with a weighing and another part of me says I need to face up to reality and get back down (assuming I have gained) to my birthday goal weight. As I type this I am leaning toward not weighing myself but who knows what mood I will be in tomorrow morning. Right now though the kids are in bed and that leftover sangria in the fridge from this weekend will not drink itself.
