And the irony continues

Greetings and welcome to today's random thought.

A few days ago I blogged about my outrageous AT&T Phone bill (I have paid it by the way. I can't lose internet! How would I blog?). Anyway, the last person I spoke with when I called in about my bill was the "dry line" DSL guy. As you may recall, this kind of DSL requires no dial tone (no actual phone service). At the end of the conversation, he offered to sell me long distance service. Ironic, eh?

As I was paying my phone / DSL bill (online), I signed up for paperless billing. There were a lot of terms and conditions but in essence I was telling them to stop sending my bill in the normal (snail) mail form and only notify me via email.

We went out to eat tonight to celebrate my birthday and on the way past the front gate we stopped by and got the mail. There was only one letter and it was from AT&T. It was a (paper) letter informing me that they had received my (online) request to stop receiving paper bills. And the irony continues.

Thanks for reading my Random Thoughts.

Jon
