Greetings,

Well it has been 3 weeks now with no internet access or phone at home.  We are past the half way point for our self imposed "don't spend a dime" rule for September and we are holding up OK.  I just wanted to drop a note to let everyone know that I have not fallen off the face of the earth but given our lack of access to the outside world from our home we might as well have.  I have (almost) gotten out of the habit of looking at events in my life as possible blog subjects so hopefully when (if) I return I will not have lost my touch.  Until then...

Greetings,

I have gone "off the grid" and still do not have internet access (or a home phone as I have cancelled my Vonage account).  I do not have an ETA of when I might get internet hooked up at the house we moved into recently.  The wife and I have declared September a "no spend month" and are giving up a lot of things to pay for the extra expenses associated with moving (not the least of which is the really cool new washer and dryer we purchased at the local scratch & dent shop).  Do not worry, we have water, electricity, food, etc. (the necessities).  We are just going to "rough it" for September and see how it goes.  Thanks to all you who have been asking about the blog.  I truly do have a LOT to write about (don't get me started on the sprinkler system!).  I hope to be back soon.
